Manhole Covers of Rancho Palos Verdes, California

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes is a small bedroom community on the southern side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula at the southern tip of Los Angeles County.   This is where the old Marineland aquatic park used to be (closed in 1987 - I had gone there several times as a boy), now being converted to a destination resort hotel, called Long Point Destination Hotel, perched on the cliffs of the penisula with fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean and Santa Catalina Island.   Rancho Palos Verdes has a population of about 41,145, with a median family income of $105,586 and a per capita income of $46,250.   This is a wealthy community, which is 67% White and 26% Asian.   Additional information about Rancho Palos Verdes can be found at Rancho Palos Verdes Info or you can go to the official Rancho Palos Verdes City website.
