UCSB is a medium-sized campus, located in Santa Barbara, California. UCSB maintains its own sewer and flood control system, on the grounds of a former military base. UCSB has about 18,000 students, of which about 10,000 live on campus. UCSB is ranked as the 12th best public university by U.S. News.
