This is a study of manhole covers from West Hollywood, Los Angeles County, California.
West Hollywood is a medium-sized urban city in Los Angeles County between downtown Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, at an average elevation of 287 feet above sea level, occupying 1.88 square miles of land.   The City of West Hollywood was founded in 1850, and incorporated in 1867.   West Hollywood currently has a population of about 41,464 people (2000).   West Hollywood citizens are composed of 76.3% Whites, 12.6% Hispanics, 5.4% Asians, and 3.1% African-American.
The median household income for West Hollywood residents (for 2009) is $52,424 and the per capita income is $47,926.   About 46.8% of West Hollywood residents over age 25 have earned a Bachelor's degree or higher, a very high percentage.
